Can I pre-edit what goes on in the Home folder of a user?

Hi, I'm trying my hand to compile Wine, but I need to put stuff in the home user's directory after doing so.

My question is, can I automatically put files and folders in the user directory that will intend to appear after the installation?

put your files in /etc/skel.
This is the "skeleton" for all users.
When a new user is created during install these files will be copied to the new user's home directory.
