Asked by RobertX

I need to compile a piece of software from source and I would like to know if Cubic can save changes made from compiling a piece of software from source.

Thank you.

Whatever changes you make to the file system on Cubic's Terminal page will be retained.

Keep in mind Cubic's Terminal gives you root access to the "/" file system. This file system is used in the Live environment (booting into the ISO) **AND** in your installed system (when you install to a PC).

Remember that you can not run services in Cubic's Terminal page. (This is because it is not a running OS, it is just a list of files). If your build process relies on some services, they may not run correctly.

If you install the compiled source code to the appropriate directories, the compiled application(s) will be available in your generated OS.

Remember to delete your source code and build files, otherwise they will also be on the generated OS.

Can you help with this problem?
