Changing things from the source-disk directory

If I look at a Ubuntu ISO I see a directory called .disk containing a file release_notes_url that contain the release notes for the distribution. When I create a respin based on this ISO I notice that this file gets copied to the source-disk directory (which is not writable) and makes its way onto my respin ISO.

I'd prefer that my ISO contain MY release notes instead of Ubuntu's but I don't see any way to change this. Is there some way to do this?

There is a link in one of the installer pages that a user can click on to view the release notes. That link takes you to the URL specified in this file (eg the URL that you've printed above).

When the user clicks on the link in that installer page from my respin, I'd like for him to go to MY release notes and not the Ubuntu release notes. So, I'd like to overwrite the ubuntu.com url with http://myproject.com/release_notes in the ISO that Cubic is producing for me.

Is there some way to do this? It seems that some of the files from the original ISO are writable (like grub.cfg) but some are not.

OK, I understand you need to be able to replace the entire line with your own line.

It may be possible to add an additional field on the Project page (below Disk Name) where you can customize this value.

I'll look into this and get back to you.
