Did you setup the user id in any other way, other than configuring it in the preseed file?
For example, did you setup the user inside the virtual terminal?
Did you setup a home directory (under /home) for this user inside the virtual terminal?

Hi,

I did not setup or create the user inside the chroot environment, just mentioned in the preseed file.

I am new to this...trying to learn few things...I tried different thought instead creating a new user through the terminal..i thought will create a password for root and then same mentioned in the preseed file.

seems to work fine.

Just a small question, once i setup realmd and sssd , if the domain user tries to login will they be able to login? or do we have to partition \home directory?

Please help!

Regards,

You don't necessarily have to setup the user in the terminal environment.
You can use the preseed file entirely.

See this example:

You will have to setup your partitions during Ubiquity installation. However, I am sure that can be configured using preseed files, but I don't know the details.
