Installation failed on offline machine

Asked by metamagpie

Hi, I just downloaded relevant deb packages for Google Chrome (libappindicator1, libindicator7 and google-chrom-stable) via Cube on an internet PC (Ubuntu 16.04). However, when I tried to update and install Google Chrome via Cube on an offline PC, the installation failed with "Installation Incomplete" error message.

Upon viewing the install-log.txt file, I saw the error message: "E: Unable to locate package google-chrome-stable" together with 2 other lines for the dependency packages. Could I check with you on how to resolve this problem? Thanks!

My apologies, the problem was solved after I did the following (as mentioned in the tutorial) on the offline PC:

Click Cube -> System -> Update Computer's Repositories.
