Why after adding PPA packages-list doesn't update?

Asked by Vivek Panwar

Hello,

I have used cube-server for a long time now & likes it's working and features.
However, I have first time used PPA option in it.

So what I did was, went to 'Repository' option, added PPA :- ppa:mc3man/gstffmpeg-keep

My aim is to get 'gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg', but even after entering ppa, and going to system>update project can't find that package in the list.

Please help, I am new to this PPA use in cube-server however has used them well before through terminal but thought of giving it a shot using cube. Am I missing some important step, or something else? Please help.
Thank You

Hello and thank you for sending your problem.

Have you tried downloading repositories after adding PPA? You need to download repositories in order for the PPA packages to be reflected in the available packages.

We have discovered a bug related to the PPA feature of Cube, which is now already fixed in our current code.
However, we are still have ongoing development for the release of it.

Here, we have added a Windows beta version of Cube, which contains our latest bug fixes and additional features. We would like to ask you if you could use it and give us some feedback. PPA bug is also fixed in this beta version, also, we have tried to fix the bug that makes Cube crash when downloading packages or repositories.
