Transferring applications across different version of Ubuntu.

Asked by Vivek Panwar

I have downloaded lots of good softwares which are worth hundreds of MB, using latest version of cube-server for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

Now, I have other PC which runs on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. I neither want to upgrade to 16.04 nor have good internet-connection in the second PC.

Now my question was that, is there any way, I can shift (transfer and install) those application to ubuntu 14.04 PC using Cube-server or any other method.

Hello and sorry for our late response.

Currently, Cube Server doesn't have a backup feature. However we suggest AptOnCD:

In the case of using downloaded packages from 16.04 to 14.04, you might encounter some problems since 16.04 and 14.04 have different package versions.

However, where can we leave suggestions/feedbacks regarding the software?

You can leave suggestions/feedback here at Questions/Answers.
If you have feature request, like backup support, you can suggest it in https://blueprints.launchpad.net/cube-server
