Hotmail count too high

Asked by Romel Anthony S. Bismonte

Hi, thanks for the great software. I use cloudsn to get notifications for my Gmail and Hotmail (through POP). The Gmail one works well, but the Hotmail one keeps telling me that I have upwards of 1000 unread messages. This must be the number of messages I have in my inbox, but I know that these messages are already read. Is there a way to get the notification to display only the number of unread messages? Or is this just a side effect of checking Hotmail through POP? Thanks in advance for any help.

The problem is the pop3 protocol, it doesn't support the read/unread mails, the server doesn't keep the mail state :(

This is not a big problem. Even though the mail count is way off, it still pops up to tell me whether there is new mail, and when I check, there is always new mail. I set it up so clicking the notification opens the browser to the webmail. As I said, this is a great program; thanks for writing it.
