Plans for Firefox 59.0

Asked by gdesilva

Hello, just would like to know whether you have any plans to upgrade the Click2Dial plugin to be compatible with Firefox 59.0? I downloaded and tried to install the package but FF would not install it.

Thanks

@gdesilva
I made a brand new extension that support Firefox 59 but it may not have all features that you use :
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/asterisk-click2dial-webext/

Only AJAM support for now.
Feel free to report any issue or features you want

Hello Antoine,

Thanks so much for updating the FF plugin for click2dial. The good news
is that I can now install without any problems but unfortunately, I
cannot get it to work with my Asterisk/FreePBX.

I added a Manager User in FreePBX GUI and added the password. My PBX
shows that XML Manager Event Interface is up and http is bound to port
5038. I set the parameters accordingly but when I try to call a number,
Wireshark trace shows the browser issuing "GET
/asterisk/mxml?action=Login&Username=click2dial&Secret=xxxx HTTP/1.1"
and immediately the PBX responds with  "HTTP    472 HTTP/1.1 404 Not
Found  (text/html)" message and nothing else happens. Obviously, I have
not got the PBX set up done properly.

Do you have any doco on how the Asterisk should set up for this plugin
to work or else can you give me some pointers to resolve this.

Your help is very much appreciated.

Sent from my iBanana running free Linux - why pay through your nose to do the same just because the badge says 'apple', 'pear' etc?

You have to check if AJAM is supported/enabled in your FreePBX install:
https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=4817256
It's using port 8088 by default.

Port 5038 is used by AMI which is currently unsupported by my webextension.
