Hi,

Please run clamtk from the command line. Open a terminal window and type "clamtk" (no quotes). Then go to your History window.

Do any messages show up in the terminal window?

Thanks,
Dave M

hi!
Case 1 When running simple clamtk from shell i have no output to stdout at all. I start the clamtk then go to the emtpy journal window and exit
doing the same operations with strace -o clamtk.log clamtk result is there http://paste.ubuntu.com/25282108/
Case 2 sudo strace -o clamtk_strace2.log clamtk When running clamtk from shell i start clam tk then do the scan of previously created folder DIRECTORYinfected with many files from {sudo clamscan -v -r -i -z -o --move=/home/english/DIRECTORYinfected/}
the scan process screenshot https://flic.kr/p/XzkDyr
on exit received in stdout
*** unhandled exception in callback:

Hi,

I see a lot of "(No such file or directory)" errors. How did you install it? Can you try to reinstall ClamTk?

Thanks,

Hi,

Can you try the latest version?

https://bitbucket.org/dave_theunsub/clamtk/downloads/clamtk_5.24-1_all.deb

Also, please open a terminal window and type

echo $LANG

You'll see something like "en_US.UTF-8" (<- that's mine, of course).

It seems like there is an issue displaying non-Ascii characters, not sure...

Thanks,
Dave M

Hi,

It may be a permissions thing. Do you do a lot of things as "sudo"? If so, doing things as a "regular user" probably won't work well.

To test, open clamtk as root (which you should not normally do):

sudo clamtk

and see what happens.

Thanks,
Dave M

Hi,

Also, please try to reinstall Perl and then reinstall ClamTk from the link above. There are many "-1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)" errors in the http://paste.ubuntu.com links you have.

Thanks,
Dave M
