Places sub-menus

Asked by AbuMaia

Is it possible with Cardapio to set up some of the bookmarks in the Places menu as sub-menus? Say if I have my Pictures folder bookmarked, with subfolders Animated, Photos, etc..., to have those subfolders appear in a submenu under Pictures.

We're sorry. Thiago is pretty much the only know-it-all here and he's very busy lately. Since you've waited a long time now, I'll try to answer your question.

Basically you'd like to have your "Places" categorized in a folder-like structure where it's possible? As far as I know, it's impossible and getting this done is a new feature request.

Hi AbuMaia. This is not possible right now. To get this done, we would need to implement some mechanism plus a UI to let the user pick which of his places should have their subfolders displayed and which shouldn't. In my view, this (especially the UI) is nontrivial.

In an effort to keep our codebase lean and maintain our (rather limited) developer resources focused I think it's best to concentrate on other features before going into something like this.

So for now the answer is: No, there is no way of doing this. To get around it you must add each subfolder as a "place" manually.

Can you help with this problem?
