System menu and session buttons

Asked by vaal

very much like to see in your menu for gnome items from custom menu Ubuntu "Administration" and "options", as well as options shutdown / reboot the machine.

Google Translate text was translated, I apologize for any errors

For »Administration« and »Preferences« please see the blueprint: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/cardapio/+spec/always-show-administration-and-preferences
We are discussing on how to implement that there.

You can add buttons »Shut Down«, »Log Out« »Lock Screen« to Cardapio via right-click on the applet → Properties → activate »Show session buttons in bottom pane«.
Alternatively, you can also search for »Shut Down«. :)

A strange (?) thing I noticed:

I can't find "Neu Starten" ~Reboot~ when typing it. Would be nice to have it, though....

That’s because restarting is a sub-function of shutting down. Search for »shut down« /»ausschalten«, click it and you can choose.

It would be too dangerous to have a separate »Restart« function that directly works on enter. The use case for restarting is not that important. ;)

Ok,
I agree.

Although I use it more often than Ausschalten.

But as it is a Ubuntu thing, I'm fine with it anyway.

I love Cardapio. ;)

Can you help with this problem?
