How do I change the label on the applet button?

Asked by Thiago Teixeira

Right now the Cardapio button says "Ubuntu", but I would like to change it to "Menu" or whatever. How do I do that?

The Cardapio applet's label defaults to your distro's name. But if you would like to change it, you can edit the configuration file (see the link below), under the option "applet label".

I have created a FAQ about this.
FAQ #1145: “How do I change the label on the applet button?”.

This is now available in the Preferences-menu, so there is no need to edit a config file anymore. (Just so newcomers know :-) )
