Community use of Canonical Payment Service

I originally asked these questions as a reply to a blog post here:- http://voices.canonical.com/isd/?p=70 but that seemed an inappropriate place for those questions.

Will 3rd party community sites be able to hook into this infrastructure?
For example if a LoCo Team wishes to sell tickets to an event, or T-shirts and other merchandise, can they use this as the backend?

Primary focus is on supporting Software Centre and software in-app payment types during the next few cycles. So the current expectation is that during Natty development will be focused on widening subscriptions capabilities and extending support for software sales. For example we need subscriptions for UbuntuOne but also if we want to sell online games subscriptions (for example) through the Software Center. Developing the platform to provide the features we want for software/content is very extensive, up to 12.04 (at least).
