cant install

trying to install ubuntu for first time downloaded iso image from site and bruned it on to dvd. upon first try for install it said iso images could not be varified. i tried a few more times and got it to go at the end of installation i got a message that reads error failed to extract or something like that. please help must get rid of win 7 its a turd i cant wait to flush... just got code again its a code 2 but this time it made it through half way of extraction
