Hello, I don't understand Ubuntu very well as my dad installed this onto my laptop as it was on its last legs on Windows so please be aware of my stupidity.

I tried to fix the error I was receiving as I wasn't able to update from 11.10 and now I have no idea what to do as it seems I've messed up the whole code and I am now receiving this message:

An unresolvable problem occurred while initialising the package information.

Please report this bug for the 'update-manager' package and try to include the following error message:

'E:Malformed line 60 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (dist parse), E:The list of sources could not be read., E:The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

I know, I know... I'm an idiot but I am welcome to as much help as possible to try and resolve this and finally update my system (which I should of done MONTHS ago when everything was working fine!)'

I have typed in this code

gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

And this is what is here:

If you look at line 60 and 61 they are incorrect. They should read:
