Inkscape/Gimp vs. Lightwave v.10

Asked by Arthur Sherman

I'm not sure If I'm using this forum correctly. If I'm not please advise. Is this where I present my questions pertaining to Gimp or Inkscape? if not, please redirect me.

I have a question pertaining to Inkscape or Gimp.

1.) Do either have a "rendering" feature as found in Lightwave v.10?

2.) Does Gimp or Inkscape compare functionality to Lightwave v.10?

Thank you kindly for your time.

"Is this where I present my questions pertaining to Gimp or Inkscape?"

No. This is the answers tracker for Canonical Ltd.,'s single sign-on service.

Ordinarily, I would move this question to the appropriate place. But since you have more than one reasonable option as to where to ask this, I would instead encourage you to mark this as Solved and post a new question at the (appropriate) place of your choosing.

If you are interested in software in Ubuntu that performs certain functions found in Lightwave, and specifically interested in Gimp and Inkscape, then you should post your question as being about the Ubuntu distribution (it may then be further classified, but you needn't worry about that unless you wish to): https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu

If you are interested in asking about Inkscape's functionality, as compared to the functionality in Lightwave and GIMP, then you should post your question as being about the Inkscape project: https://answers.launchpad.net/inkscape

If you are interested in asking about GIMP's functionality, as compared to the functionality in Lightwave and Inkscape, then you should post your question in a GIMP support forum, such as http://www.gimptalk.com. (The GIMP project does not use Launchpad for tracking technical support requests, though of course you can post questions about GIMP in Ubuntu by asking in Ubuntu.)

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Arthur Sherman for more information if necessary.
