password change, zero security perhaps?

Asked by linuxsapien

After all the reading about changing passwords and profile changing and all that stuff..

There seems to be some sort of lagging where security is concerned..

Now if I am to use launchpad with all these other services that use my OpenID, perhaps someone should look into a reason why passwords cannot easily be changed.

What if my account becomes compromised?
Who do I blame for this, because the person who compromises accounts here, KNOWS we cannot easily change our passwords - thus giving them easy access to ALL our OpenID sites.

This is disgusting, and I be sure to take this deadly seriously, as I now need to change my password, which I know, so I do not need to click on forgot password...

Please go to https://login.launchpad.net/ . Once logged in with your existing account, changing your password is easy.

Can you help with this problem?
