Please remove Ubuntu SSO account

Asked by afeickert

I opened an Ubuntu SSO account (the one I'm currently using to ask this question, actually) for test purposes, and would like it completely removed. Is this possible?

Is it possible to have this issue resolved on the server side?

This question was expired because it remained in the 'Open' state without activity for the last 15 days.

Right now, complete removal of your Ubuntu SSO account is tricky but possible if you really want it. It will mean you irrecoverably lose access to everything you've ever logged in to with it from both Ubuntu SSO *and* Launchpad. If you want individual accounts removed from any service you've accessed with SSO, you'll also need to request that with each site/service - including (I note) a separate request to remove your Launchpad account.

Yes, I would like the entire account removed if possible. This should
include Launchpad. I used to use Ubuntu One as a service, but it
should have been closed already. Thanks for your assistance.

The update is that a request has been put through to our IS team to remove this. Unfortunately because of the holidays the people who are capable of taking care of this for you are all on holidays. We should have this resolved for you shortly after the holidays are over. Hope you're having some happy holidays yourself :) Talk to you soon.

Aaron, Tom has done a complete database erasure of your account and information. I hope that resolves your issue, if there is anything else you need feel free to let us know.

I also would like to have my current account removed. I currently have two Ubuntu accounts, but I just want to keep my other one.

What is the easiest / fastest way to remove the account I'm posting this with? I need this e-mail address freed so I can register it to my other account as a additional e-mail address.
