cli launchpad login

Asked by lsmobrian

I am trying to login using command line. A use case would be apport-collect where there is no X server.

I enter my username and password, but continue is just text. So what do you actually do once your credentials are typed in. I'm no w3m or lynx expert, but I don't think I'm doing anything wrong

It seems like there's a bug for this, but I haven't found it yet.

Bug is marked "won't fix;" w3m is not compliant with standards here (the button tag).

It's not yet mentioned here, but the fix for this issue is to add <button> support to w3m. Support will be included in natty, but older distros may or may not have backports available.
