Will launchpad.net OpenID support be dropped in the future?

With login.ubuntu.com eventually becoming a general OpenID provider, are there plans to eventually eliminate launchpad.net as an OpenID provider, or will they be run in parallel?

There are no plans at this time to eliminate login.launchpad.net. Both services will run in parallel and share data for a while. I understand that login.launchpad.net will eventually become independent again and provide an option to log in to Launchpad with your Ubuntu SSO account.
