What to choose? 32bit or 64bit

Asked by Farzeen Abdul Salam

Hi there,
I have a 64 bit Linux Mint PC at home. I want to download packages to that computer. I plan to download packages from internet cafes, where they probably have 32bit Windows 7 computers.
Which version should I choose?

Most 32 bit applications can be executed on 64 bit processors if they don't have any conflicting dependencies.
So, isn't it possible to download just the 32 bit version of the cube and execute it from 64 bit computer?
Does the 32 bit cube only fetch 32 bit packages? If yes, could you please provide an option to collect the processor architecture info when creating the project and download packages according to that info?

If you are using 64 bit Linux OS, then you should download the 64 bit version of Cube. It will run in windows, even if your Windows architecture is 32 bit.

For your second question, nope, Cube will download packages depending on your Linux architecture, and not whether cube is 32 or 64bit.
