Shortcuts: Failed to mount

Asked by José Filipe

Good Morning,

A two days ago i had updated (bzr up), and recompiled (make && make install) the cairo-dock core and plug-ins sucessful ! lool
The bug i had report that when i over in shortcuts it loses focus is fixed very well ! loool

But now it show another bug / error:
When i had mouse over in shortcuts and over to folders in pane, i click in one folder and this shows the following message and do not opens this folder in dolplhin (KDE 4.10):
Failed to mount «folder name»

And if i open dolphin, i can open without dificulty this folder, the somme happens with shares ... !

Sometimes cairo dock be unsable and closes, i reopen, but it dont open, it has many processes WindowsKiller and cairo-dock. only after a reboot or logoff and login, it will be ok :-(

There are a way to fix them ??

Regards

Hi,
about the first problem, what about running the dock with: cairo-dock -e
gnome ?
about the 2nd, it would be nice to run the dock with gdb: gdb cairo-dock
then when it crashes, it will stop and you can see where it crashes exactly
(please see our wiki for more details on using gdb).

Ok, i'm trying to run gdb until cairo-dock crashes or be unstable !

About mime, it is need only if i use
cairo-dock -e gnome

In normal
cairo-dock -o
it works well

I think, that this bug in shortcuts will be fixed in future to support kde ... !

Hi !

Sorry, but in the last times i had very very busy :-(

About this question / topic, i do not runned gdb cairo-dock,
But i had informations of how its happens that i think that will be useful to solve this problem ;-)

In normal use when you a had a fullscreen window the dock hiddes, but if you are in another desktop / workspace with no window, its expect to show cairo-dock, right ?
But in the last times, it is forever hidden, only if i mouve mouse to down its show the cairo-dock .-/

Another situation, is when abrt shows a bug, and when i report this bug using abrt, or when a window its not closed in normal mode, it shows a very small white bar with 5px of height, and does not show anymore of cairo-dock, and if i execute ps awx | grep cairo, it has many processes windowkiller :-(

I think for now these informations, will be useful ;-)

Hello,

Sorry for the delay!

I'm not able to reproduce this crash. If you have some free time, it can be interesting to launch GDB, it's very helpful to fix crashes ;)

Thanks!

Matt

It's maybe better to trash this crash with Launchpad bugs tracker ;) => bug #1224893
