I want to remove "current items" from the dock

Asked by Alexander Rayman

Hi. I want to remove the "current items" section from the dock, but the checkbox is grayed out so I can't.

How do I get rid of it?

Hello,

"Current items" section is not a applet (which can be disabled/enabled) but it lists all items that available in all your docks :)
Why do you want to disable it?

Hi Matthieu,

I've kept the top panel in xubuntu, it shows all open apps. Separating launchers and currently open programs makes things less messy, and having duplicates is redundant.

Either way, I found the sollution shortly after posting my inquiry.

Thanks for getting back to me! :)

You're welcome!

If someone has the same problem, you just need to disable the taskbar in the Taskbar section.
