how to toggle caffeine from the command line ?

Asked by Pieter Duijves

hi!

for my use case i need to toggle caffeine (or caffeine-indicator or caffeinate, not sure which one...) from the command line.

how would i do that ?

i'm looking for something like caffeine-indicator --activate and caffeine-indicator --deactivate or such

use case: if i boot my computer at work, caffeine should be de-activated. if i boot at home caffeine should be activated at start up via my startup script.

(i cannot use caffeinate sleep 100000 , as this is not the same as toggle activating caffeine. i need to be able to manually disable caffeine via caffeine-indicator again, when needed)

many thanks! Pieter Duijves
