bzr 1.8 When is the Windows standalone installer ready to download

Asked by blanderer

Good evening,

are there any plans to make an windows standalone installer for the release 1.8 in the future. It would be nice having on my Ubuntu 8.04 machine and on my WinXPSP3 machine the same release on it.

regards

Karl

In addition, I hope the proved and trouble-free Python installers like bzr-1.8.win32-py2.5.exe will return.

"Me too" (shouldn't there be a "this affects me as well" button for questions?)

Thank you very much for the Python installers!
What is the difference of bzr-setup-lite-1.8.exe to the standard installation?

Thank for providing the windows standalone installer. Only one question furthermore, where was the problem to make these installer?

@Rene Leonhardt it seems, that is in the lite installer isn´t in the qbzr and svn plugin, as well as missing the Tortiose extension and the debug files. Please correct me if I got an mistake in thise list.

Karl

If the 'lite' installer is missing the svn plugin, a 'fat' installer would be very welcome (without the svn plugin I can't use bzr at all).

@Ori Peleg,

there is no problem. You can get the svn plugin at
http://d5190871.u44.websitesource.net/bzr/
Simply run the installer and that was it.

Thanks blanderer, but the installers there are very old - quite a few fixes since then. I'm not even sure the old versions will work with bzr 1.8 (there were later bzr-svn fixes to make it work with bzr 1.7)
