move repository from one server to another

Asked by Timmie

Hello,
I need to move my repository (shared) from one FTP server to another FTP server.

I can just download the repository on my local computer from the old server and then copy it to the new server?

A comment is apprecoiated.

Kind regards,
Timmie

Yes you can move the .bzr directory from one server to the other.

Be sure that nobody access the original during the transfer though.

Since you mentioned 'shared', you should also have branch directories around your '.bzr' directory, be sure to transfer them too.

Finally, be sure to check your locations.conf and <branch>/.bzr/branch/branch.conf config files and update the references from one server to the other.

Can you help with this problem?
