Large repository integration

Asked by Kirill Suzev

Bazaar currently has problems with large repositories (bug 331342). Solutions like stacked branches do not fully solve this problem. I found 2 potential solutions:
1. History horizon (http://wiki.bazaar.canonical.com/HistoryHorizon). But looks like the discussion there doesn't progress.
2. Using 64-bit installer (on Windows). But no progress there too.

So the question - will there be any progress anywhere and when? :)

Hi Kiril,

The main size limit we have at the moment is in dealing with tree files that are individually large (>1GB). History horizons aren't particularly going to help there.

People are working on a 64-bit Windows build, and if you are interested I suggest you join the list discussion. <https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/bazaar/2010q4/thread.html>.

Yes, I've already subscribed to bazaar mailing list. But the main question is still unanswered - when shall we have 64-bit windows installer?

The 2 people working on this are people who work on it in there spair time. So giving an estimate is impossible. I hope you will understand this.

Can you help with this problem?
