Recommended way to migrate from single large svn repo to multiple bzr repos

Asked by Pim Schellart

What is the recommended way to migrate from single large svn repo to multiple bzr repos?
I tried a bzr-svn branch followed by a number of bzr split commands but this leaves the full history in each of the new repos which is not desired given the size of the initial repo.
Is this possible with bazaar?

I think you can branch from any level in the svn repo.
You will need to branch each thing you want separately.

Can you help with this problem?
