how do I link multiple repositories

Asked by Jens Brejner

I'm working on a project, that consists of code from different repositories:
My own code is in bazaar, private in a +junk location at launcpad.
My code uses some code which is maintained in another launchpad project.

All of the code shall be used by a project - which is maintained in a subversion repository.

So What I would like to achieve is to create a bazaar repository, which links the three repositories, so if I could do bzr update - or similar - inside the new combined repoitory, and it would know that it had to query each of the other 3 repositories for changes.

Is that possible ?

There is planned core feature to achieve this goal called "nested trees". Unfortunately it's not finished yet.

In the mean time you can look at plugin bzr-externals and bzr-scmproj, which tried to emulate nested trees idea.

Also there is separate tool called config-manager.

All three projects available on Launchpad.

Can you help with this problem?
