Would like to test bzr-visualstudio current release :-)

Asked by davidrm

Hi!

I'm interested in checking your current work on the Bazaar plug-in for Visual Studio 2005.

How it is going? I've read somewhere that you were to provide a basic installation package for all of this. It would be nice to have it to test it, I'm very interested in using Bazaar with VS.

I've already tried to download sources @ trunk , and get to compile it without trouble. I've seen that there is a PLK requirement in order to use the package once compiled and I even registered with M$ and requested a PLK. Used same Program Name, Version, etc.

But had no success in installing and using the generated PLK to test the Package, VS IDE keeps saying that the PLK Verification failed. :-( I've checked several things, but I think that it is a bit confusing for me.

Any ideas (or binaries, DLLs, etc ;-) ) would be appreciated.

Thank you.
David

There is currently no release package available or planned. To run from sources you'll need to perform the following steps:

1. Install the latest VSSDK for Visual Studio 2005
2. Set the environment variable 'VisualStudioIntegration' to the VSSDK install path, e.g. to 'C:\Programs\Visual Studio 2005 SDK\2007.02\VisualStudioIntegration'
3. Check out the 'banquet.status' branch and compile it to make it register itself with Visual Studio
4. Run the 'Banquet' project by starting it under the Visual Studio experimental hive

A PLK is not needed and should NOT be requested from Microsoft for trying out the Bazaar integration.

Please note that the integration is very incomplete and not actively developed at the moment.

Can you help with this problem?
