Can't synchronize, though bzr/eclipse otherwise works

Asked by Geoff Gardiner

I have today loaded bzr (1.9), bzr-tools and bzr-xmlout (0.8.0) into Ubuntu 8.04; and then installed Eclipse 3.4.1, Subclipse and bzr-eclipse 1.1.0. That all seemed to install and configure Ok.

I can now load an external bzr project into Eclipse Ok using New Project and specifying an lp: location rather than a local location, but I don't see how to keep that project synchronized. (Bzr also appears to work Ok on the Ubuntu command line.)

I can go to the Synchronize perspective, click the Synchonize button and see 3 wizards.

I can use the Subclipse wizard fine - it and CVS both have a live 'Next' button that sets up the external location and the project as expected.

But the Bazaar wizard, although apparently installed, has only a live 'Finish' button that does nothing and a live 'Cancel' button that cancels Ok.

Thank you for any suggestions for my way forward.

The Synchronize perspective is not implemented yet, check Bug #283620.
For the moment to get the lastest changes you can use pull or update (update if you are using a lightweight checkout)

Aha! Roadmap at 1.4.0. Thank you. Now I know the answer, I can see the documentation trail leading to it.

I'm glad that I could follow the steps well enough to get this far - I just didn't have faith that I had followed them enough.

My apologies for needlessly taking up your time.

All the best,
