Locking byobu input with output still visible

Asked by Bradley Peters

I'm not sure what terminology to use to describe the question I am asking. I've been trying to search on the web but I'm not sure if I'm using the right search terms.

Anyway, I am wondering if there is a way to lock input into a byobu session while still having it display the output? I can run the screen lock but that hides the output too. Is this even something that byobu could do or is this something the terminal emulator would have to do?

You can certainly do this using screen (which is the program running
below byobu).

See:
http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/lucid/en/man1/screen.1.html

You're looking for the documentation on ACLs.
