byobu

byobu doesn't load on screen launch after 2.7 update

suddenly byobu stopped working after 2.7 update
won't launch with screen, had to start it manually with $ byobu
is that a bug or just misconfiguration ?

Hi Sebastian-

Correct, as of 2.7, /usr/bin/screen is no longer a diversion from the real screen binary to byobu. I will communicate this through my blog later tonight. From now on, if you want "byobu", you will need to launch run "byobu". If you want old-school "screen", you will need to run "screen".

Sorry about the inconvenience. Too many traditional "screen" users have been offended by some of the things that byobu does, and does not do. For this reason, we're going to need to separate the invocation.
