How to send keybindings from local byobu to remote byobu?

Asked by Scott Ritchie

I'm currently running byobu locally, and would also like to run byobu remotely on a server I ssh into. However I can't use any of byobu's keybindings on the remote server because theyre all captured by the byobu session I'm running locally.
Is there a way I can specify which of the sessions I would like to send the function key I pressed to?

You won't be able to use the F-keys, but you can use the screen escape
codes, and just double escape.

For instance, to go to the next window in the inner session, you would
press ctrl-a-a-n, and to go to the previous window in the inner
session, you would press ctrl-a-a-p, and so on.

Can you help with this problem?
