Terminal Ctrl+u doesn't clear the line

Bug Description

In many documentations, ctrl+u in Terminal is supposed to clear the whole line. But I find it just clear the content BEFORE the CURSOR, which has no difference with ctrl+w.

My current Ubuntu is v11.10.

As per the bug itself, it's a technical defect that should be filed against the application in Ubuntu, rather than an issue the Ubuntu Community Team should resolve.

The terminal actually behaves correctly, it's the documentation that is unclear.
