Bug Description
On up-to-date Precise, using the "Reinstall previous purchases..." option in Software Centre causes files with wrong permissions to be added to /etc/apt/
$ ls -l /etc/apt/
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 142 Jan 29 15:04 /etc/apt/
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 148 Jan 29 15:04 /etc/apt/
-rw-r----- 1 root root 150 Jan 29 15:04 /etc/apt/
where I've fixed the permissions for the first two entries, and the last one is Software Centre's own.
This causes crashes in aptdaemon, in apt-get, in command-not-found, and possibly others. Running 'chmod o+r' on the relevant files fixes these problems.
Hi pablomme, and thank you for your report. Could you please provide more detail about the issues that you are seeing with aptdaemon, apt-get, etc.? I am not seeing such problems on my system.
Many thanks for your help!
