Bug Description

Taken from question #182194:

I can use Onboard to enter password when logging in. But after that I cannot type anything (it opens, but no letters appear when i click them on Onboard keyboard). I use Ubuntu 11.10, and problem appears in both Unity and xfce.

Could you please try whether the new version, that is available in our stable PPA still has the same problem?

Błażej, does typing have no effect anywhere in the user session or just in a specific application?

Also, please open a terminal window, run the following and post the output here:
apt-cache policy onboard
apt-cache policy python-virtkey

Then please quit onboard and restart it like this from the terminal:
onboard -ddebug

type a few letters, close it again and attach the terminal output here.

status: New → Incomplete
