Bug Description
Wen booting with the ethernet cable un-plugged, Mint 11 and 12, Ubuntu 11.10, fedora 16 freeze just before the login stage. The boot fine when the ethernet cable is plugged.
This is due to the atheros driver (ath9k module) ?
Here is the work-around :
edit as root /etc/modprobe.
blacklist atl1c
then update the init as root
update-initramfs -u
reboot and the wireless connection now works and does not freezes the system at login
