Bug Description
Hello,
We're running Percona 5.1.54-rel12.5. Because of some memory usage issues I've tried to set innodb_dict_size limitation dynamically. In about twenty minutes after implementing it server crashed. The logs for the period contain:
Version: '5.1.54-
110404 3:44:23 [Note] Slave SQL thread initialized, starting replication in log 'bin-log.000016' at position 26626, relay log './relay-
110404 3:44:23 [Note] Slave I/O thread: connected to master 'rep@1.
110406 11:29:05 - mysqld got signal 11 ;
This could be because you hit a bug. It is also possible that this binary
or one of the libraries it was linked against is corrupt, improperly built,
or misconfigured. This error can also be caused by malfunctioning hardware.
We will try our best to scrape up some info that will hopefully help diagnose
the problem, but since we have already crashed, something is definitely wrong
and this may fail.
key_buffer_
read_buffer_
max_used_

It is possible that mysqld could use up to
key_buffer_size + (read_buffer_size + sort_buffer_
bytes of memory
Hope that's ok; if not, decrease some variables in the equation.

The crash was repeating again and again. After setting innodb_dict_size back to 0, situation stabilized.
The problem is reproducible.
Looks like a bug.

Does look like a bug - to help us construct a test case, could you give an indication as to how many tables (and what kind of schemas they are) and a indication as to what value you set innodb_dict_size to?
