Hi, are you able to reproduce this frequently?

I took a look at the issue and made a possible fix, please download
http://people.canonical.com/~herton/drmcrtcoops/linux-image-2.6.38-8-generic_2.6.38-8.42+drmcrtcoops1_i386.deb

Then install the new kernel with sudo dpg -i linux-image-2.6.38-8-generic_2.6.38-8.42+drmcrtcoops1_i386.deb

And reboot into the new kernel, then report here if you still get the issue, thanks.

Ok, so it means that you got that oops before easily, and now it's gone? Just let me know if you got before crashes easily and test for a while, then report if you don't get any more crashes.

Thanks for the feedback and testing. About the monitor plugging issue, are you able to enable ssh on your machine, login from another machine when screen goes black, and check if there is any crash or relevant output in dmesg? Also do you always got this problem with previous kernels as well?

Natty is EOL. If this still happens in newer Ubuntu releases, please set the status back.
