Bug Description

I was installing the latest version of openttd 1.1 from a .deb (http://www.openttd.org/en/download-stable) on Ubuntu Maverick amd64. When opening the package the Ubuntu Software Center was shown with the button "Upgrade".

After pressing the button Upgrade I got the error message: "There seems to be a programming error in aptdaemon, the software that allows you to install/remove software and to perform other package management related tasks. Please report this error at http://launchpad.net/aptdaemon/+filebug and retry."

syslog:
AptDaemon.Worker: CRITICAL: ../openttd-1.1.0-linux-ubuntu-maverick-amd64.deb: conflicting packages - not installing openttd

The simple workaround was to uninstall the existing package 'openttd' 1.0.4 (and all it's related packages openttd-opengfx, openttd-opensfx, openttd-opendata) available from Canonical.

I filed this bug just because the message says to do so.
