Bug Description
The ldap plug-in currently doesn't attempt to re-establish the connection when it is lost.
In my case our ldap server was restarted, but the ldap connection was never re-connected.
Attaching a patch to re-connect when ldap.SERVER_DOWN is raised.
Probably related to Bug # 611654
