Subject: mozilla-firefox: Segfaults on installation

Package: mozilla-firefox
Version: 0.8-12
Severity: serious
Justification: renders package unusable

Hi,

mozilla-firefox is uninstalleable on alpha, because the binary segfaults:

miata:/home/freddy# apt-get install mozilla-firefox
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
mozilla-firefox is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 2 not upgraded.
1 not fully installed or removed.
Need to get 0B of archives.
After unpacking 0B of additional disk space will be used.
Setting up mozilla-firefox (0.8-12) ...
Updating mozilla-firefox chrome registry.../usr/sbin/update-mozilla-firefox-chrome: line 58: 16735 Segmentation fault regchrome >/dev/null
dpkg: error processing mozilla-firefox (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 139

Greetings
Frederik Schueler

Damn, ok... the last time this exact same problem reared it's head, it
was a compiler error. Perhaps this regression has slipped into other
arches, since it seems mips is suffering from this as well.=20
