Unable to signin to facebook using empathy. Reports authentication failed when given accurate login credentials.

thanks for the bug report. can you please attach your telepathy gabble logs of the time when the problem actually happens. you can get those logs by clicking on help>debug there select gabble in the drop down menu and click save and attach that file to this bug report.

Try logging out and in again on facebook. User your new facebook name. Worked here last day.

I Had the same problem, login on facebook chat from Empathy just stopped working.

doing a logout from my session in google chrome and login again resolved this issue for me.

sadly, sign out trick does not work for me. Since I can log into facebook from ipod as well as browser (not same time) then does it suggest a bug in empathy?

The original stated it is working now. If you have further information go show it is not working correctly, perhaps you can tell us. Also include your logs included in comment #2 above.
