Bug Description
Binary package hint: unity
Now that bug #599741 has been fixed, this bug report describes one of the remaining rendering issues. The graphics card in question is an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450. The free radeon driver is used.
In the screenshot attached to this bug report, you can see that the shadows of the application icon tiles are not displayed correctly. For demonstration purposes, I dragged the workspaces icon out of the launcher.

Hi, with the latest Unity release for natty alpha 1 (3.2.2), we hope to have lowered the GL requirements for Unity enough that it should run on your system smoothly and without rendering artifacts. Could you please try out A1 when it's released and see if this is fixed for you, thanks.
