@Eric Bellavance , PhuniX: If you dont have the exact same hardware as the original reporter here, this might not be the bug you are facing.
The symptoms might be the same . But the cause might be different.
It is better to file a separate bug, rather than adding "me too" here.

It's most probably due to this mesa bug: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/638725
Feel free to re-open if the upcoming mesa fix doesn't solve the problem.

This should have been fixed with the latest update to clutter, kindly update and try again, do check if the problem still exists now?

Also, Bilal was talking about Bug 641523 , while this bug was an issue with the mesa / clutter and a blank white screen. [not flashing]

This bug was fixed for a lot of drivers in the mesa update for Bug 638725. Marking as dup. Do mention if you have the problem even after the latest updates.
