Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

I'm not shure, if this is a g-p-m bug.
Information about the battery is wrong. The remaining time seems to be OK, but the percentage is wrong.
If battery is full charged, percentage is only about 14%.

Data in /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/info is wrong (real design capacity of battery is 5200mAh):

$ cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/info
present: yes
design capacity: 35092 mAh
last full capacity: 20499 mAh
battery technology: rechargeable
design voltage: 12600 mV
design capacity warning: 3509 mAh
design capacity low: 1754 mAh
capacity granularity 1: 350 mAh
capacity granularity 2: 350 mAh
model number: U13
serial number: SN0000
battery type: Lion
OEM info: CZCTech
augenstein@Belinea-13013:~$ cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state
present: yes
capacity state: ok
charging state: discharging
present rate: 488 mA
remaining capacity: 5026 mAh
present voltage: 12375 mV

Reamark: In Karmic the battery data was shown correctly, but only after plug in or plug out the power supply. Without doing thi precedure, the battery wasn't found. Perhaps this additional information can help you.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of GNOME Power Manager is available on Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that version? Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance.
