Bug Description

Binary package hint: chromium-browser

In Lucid, if users (I'm thinking about new users specifically) search for the word "chrome" in Ubuntu Software Center the chromium-browser package is not returned as a result.

If something along the lines of "Chromium is the open-source project behind Google Chrome" where included in the package description. The keyword "chrome" would be included, and chromium-browser returned as a result in Ubuntu Software Center searches for "chrome".

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut should be a small usability issue, in the default Ubuntu install, that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be addressed as part of this project.

- Nice catch , but Not a papercut as we dont include it in chromium in the default install.
For further information about papercuts criteria, please read https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PaperCut.

Don't worry though, this bug has been marked as "Invalid" only in the papercuts project.

This bug was fixed in the package chromium-browser - 5.0.342.9~r43360-0ubuntu2

---------------
chromium-browser (5.0.342.9~r43360-0ubuntu2) lucid; urgency=low

  [ Fabien Tassin <email address hidden> ]
  * Mention 'Chrome' in the main package description (LP: #561667)
    - update debian/control
  * When 'gclient update' fails, clear up the cache and retry. This helps
the channels updates often failing with a "Can't switch the checkout" error
    - update debian/rules

  [ Chris Coulson <email address hidden> ]
  * Update the default search URL
    - update debian/rules
