Bug Description

Binary package hint: plymouth

I am running Ubuntu Lucid 64 bit fully updated to February, 4th, 2010 4:07 am US eastern time.

Sometimes when I start the pc, Plymouth will display 3 Ubuntu logos across the top of the screen instead of the usual 1. The problem is cosmetic only. I am using on-board Intel graphics with a 25" HP HDMI flat screen LCD monitor. I am guessing that Plymouth is not using the correct screen resolution consistently.

I listed this under Plymouth but there were updates to xserver, grub-pc and compiz in the group of updates I installed when the problem started showing up. This could possibly be an xserver related issue but I was unsure which specif package to list this under.

Could you make sure you're up to date with the current archive (Plymouth 0.8.0~-14), and see if this happens again. If so, could you get a screenshot or photograph of the issue?
